Colin Boothman attended Burnley School of Art and Graduated in Fine Art from the Royal College of Art.

He subsequently taught in school and then various Adult Education Colleges in London.

He became Head of Art for Thameside and then Greenwich Community College.

Colin is primarily a landscape painter often working in soft pastel.

His subjects range from Northern landscapes to the West country and France.

Although representational, his paintings depict abstract relationships and rhythms.

 

He has exhibited locally, and at the Mall Galleries.

 

Colin and Felicity Boothman are currently the Artists in Residence at Mycenae House, Blackheath.
